~ Merry Christmas!!!!
Posted on December 13, 2011
While our Christmas time has been surrounded by paperwork, setting dates, fixing things in our getting ready to move we still feel incredibly blessed this holiday season and are trying to enjoy all the small moments. I hope that everyone has a wonderful and happy holiday season and takes this time to enjoy all the little things in life and treasure each moment. Happy Holidays!

Moving day is coming up!

Sad to say we are heading out of El Paso in just a couple short months! I’ve loved our time here and I’ve loved the city of El Paso and will miss it and all our friends we have made here greatly. Strange to say I will miss my windy season “natural dirt facials” and the kids are really going to miss their tumbleweed friends! I wish everyone here the best! We are looking forward to our new adventures and will miss you!

What more could I ask for on Mother’s Day than a little mini-session with my handsome boys! I think they just liked that they got to put on a temporary tattoo! =)

~ More of baby M.
Posted on April 28, 2011
I just can’t get me enough baby M.! He is just so cute and adorable and CUTE!!!!! This time I did something a little different. Instead of being in the studio or at a park, I went and visited him at his home. There seems to be something more connecting and magical getting little ones in their comfortable safe homes, rather than them being out in the great unknown. I think I like this….might have to try it more often! =)

~ Loveys….teddy bears, blankets….doggies
Posted on April 5, 2011
I remember my lovey from when I was a kid. It was a white, or at least I’m pretty sure it was white when it was new, cotton blanket with about an inch of satin sewn in around the edges. I loved the way it felt when it was cold, so soft. It was always there for me, when I was sad or happy or scared. I took it everywhere with me. Little did I know how much my mother was fearful if the day should ever come where it got lost! I still have a small piece of it somewhere. Tucked away with other keepsakes. Just one little touch and the memories come flooding back.
My boys have their loveys too. When my oldest was one we were visiting the grandparents in Florida and there was a crane machine. Grandpa tried to win him an animal, daddy tried to win him an animal and I got the last quarter…guess who won my boy an animal? =) It was a doggy. The only one we have ever been able to find and not for a lack of trying! Like any lovey, it went everywhere with us. Part of me felt so relieved when he finally grew old enough that he didn’t want to take him everywhere and was content with making sure his special puppy was at home in his bed.
Then we had our second son. When he too was about a year old and we had tried and tried to get him attached to a lovey that we had TWO of and knew we could find more if needed…but no…while visiting the other grandparents he found his lovey. A doggy. Maybe it was because he always saw his big brother with his doggy? But from the moment he carried him in his arms we all knew it was meant to be. And again the search started, though never successful, to find a backup.
My youngest is still in the stage where his puppy goes everywhere with us. Partly that is my fault. Since my youngest has a peanut allergy, I fear the what if’s. What if we are out and he has a reaction? What if we have to go to the hospital? What if he is crying for his puppy? So his puppy is essentially our third child. I know where this puppy is ALL the time. He is carried in my purse, there if we need him, but he sticks with me. He is never left in the car alone…what if someone stole the car!?!
Thinking more about how important my lovey was to me, and how important the boys loveys are to them I wanted to make sure I took some photos to capture those memories. As I told my oldest who told me to make sure no one sees the photos (shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh don’t tell him ;o) ) I explained to him how much he will appreciate these photos when he has kids of his own and his kids have their loveys. I asked if he were able to see photos of mommy and daddy with their childhood loveys would he like to see them? He eagerly said yes, and disappointed when I said I didn’t have any. Stressing the point again, how he will appreciate these when he has his own kids.
Now my boys will have these photos to look back on, as they are scouring the Internet looking for something that can’t be found…a backup to the one-of-a-kind lovey that their kids have fallen in love with.
P.S. – If you EVER see either of these puppies…PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know!!! =)

~Sweet and Sass!
Posted on February 22, 2011
So to get back into the swing of things in the studio I borrowed my friends kids =) Miss Sass LOOOOVVVED the camera! And WOW does she take good photos! Her big brother…those eyes!!!!!! He is going to break some serious hearts when he gets older!
Some day I will attempt to find children that hate the camera, that run away screaming “get it out of my face! get it out of my face!” make it more of a challenge…oh wait…my kids already do that….
Mr. B. and Miss A. were such perfect models for me. Getting me back in the swing of things and also I got a chance to test out the new background color too!

~ Sad music playing…
Posted on February 22, 2011
I knew it would happen soon…I had hoped it would wait just a little longer…
It started weeks ago. When I went to power up it chugged along like an old jalopy’s engine turning over in 10 degree weather. I thought though if that was the worst of it, it might just last me a few more months before I had to say goodbye. Then it took a turn for the worse. The day started as it usually does, breakfast then get the kids to school, come home and fix my breakfast and head upstairs to start working. Then I saw it…my computer had fallen ill to a horrible, no good, very bad VIRUS!!!!! AAARRRGGGGG!!!!!! It was gone, nothing could be done. The next step? Call my boss crying that I wouldn’t be into work for the day of course! On the good side, my most important files were backed up to external drive including ALL my client photos. The good side, work agreed to pay for a new computer! A BETTER computer! The bad side, I had to reorder certain software and it will be another week or so before it all arrives. The good news…a BETTER computer!!!!
****** One more bad side note about the death of my old computer…all my new client inquiries that were sitting in my mailbox…gone.
( If you have recently emailed me through my contact page please contact me again ****** I do apologize for the inconvenience!
It really was a good computer for as long as it lasted. I’m going to attempt to reload the operating system then hand it down to the kids. I will miss the chugging of the power up and processor as loud as a Boeing 747 as strange as that sounds.
